Apple Pie

apple pie

This is a very classical recipe…Known all around the world…so let’s get started!

  • 100 gr butter
  • 700 gr of apples
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • salt
  • 200 gr flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 0,2 liters of milk
  • 1 vanillin sachet
  • a sachet of yeast
  • 200 gr sugar
  • 1 lemon juice
  • 1 lemon peel
Peel the apples and core them. Then slice them and cut the slices in half. Put them in a bowl and add the lemon juice to them ( so they won’t turn brown).
In a separate bowl mix the egg with sugar. When sugar has dissolved add butter (previously melted in a bain-marie).
Then add all the other ingredients ( milk, lemon peel, yeast, vanillin, cinnamon and just a tiny bit of salt). Last add the flour but slowly and keep on mixing while you pour that.
Drain the apples from the excess lemon juice and add them to the mixture. Mix for a while and in the meantime spread some butter and then flour on a cake pan ( so the cake won’t stick 😉 ).
Pour the mixture in the cake pan and sprinkle the top with cinnamon and icing sugar. Put the pan in a pre-heated oven ( 180°C) and let it bake for 50-60 minutes.
When you take it out, let it cool down and then add some more icing sugar on top.
Enjoy yet another recipe 😉
